One-hour Zoom Workshop for Your Organization

“Confidence, Caring and Community”

Today’s Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) families face challenges accessing health care, suffer from higher stress levels, and experience lower breastfeeding rates.

This workshop (approved for nursing and lactation credit) reviews medical, child development and lactation literature that:

  • Describes barriers to quality parenting and lactation support in the BIPOC community.

  • Describes how increasing professionals’ understanding of equity and implicit bias will enhance parenting and lactation support in the BIPOC community.

  • Describes the importance of, and steps to, Responsive Parenting.

  • Describes how HUG Your Baby resources and strategies (in English and Spanish) enhance Responsive Parenting, increase paternal confidence, and promote breastfeeding duration.

Information that is inspiring . . . practical . . . & critical for today's professionals and the parents they serve.

Typical fee for an organization: $175
